West Coast mainline TFT passenger information displays
An order for more than 130 TFT passenger information displays to be installed at Virgin Trains West Coast Mainline stations has been won by Infotec.

Stations including Birmingham International, Coventry, Crewe, Penrith, Rugby, Stoke, Stafford and Wolverhampton are to have new P3025-A, TR32L and TS32B displays as part of the order. The displays will be driven by Infotec’s next generation controller Tetrus. Developed by Infotec, Tetrus is a multi-core HD controller, designed to meet all performance requirements on an efficient and reliable platform. It uses ARM-based technology to offer HD graphics.
As the designer, Infotec can control the life cycle and migration routes to ensure forward compatibility. The clean, sharp transition of information, made possible by Tetrus, will meet the expectations of customers who are accustomed to high definition television and using hand-held devices with smooth scrolling and page transitions. Awarded to Infotec by Telent Ltd. the order will refresh life-expired displays on Virgin Trains stations, further improving customer service on this key route.
