Information displays promote public transport
New passenger information displays designed and manufactured by Infotec for Rhyl railway station will help to promote use of public transport in the North Wales seaside resort.
The multi-modal information provided on the new displays in the station shows bus departure details, thereby encouraging people to use connecting services for their onward travel.
More than half a million people use the Arriva Trains Wales station each year, with services running from Holyhead to Birmingham International and to Cardiff Central, from Llandudno to Manchester Piccadilly and from Holyhead to London Euston all stopping there.
Infotec has supplied two new displays to Gee Communications for Rhyl. One is a TR42L from the latest TR series of ruggedized displays and the other a FM28L from the new full-matrix LED range.
The FM28L display uses the latest eco-white LEDs rather than traditional amber. These new surface mount components deliver higher contrast, brighter output, greater viewing angles and give an overall more modern appearance.
The two displays have been hung using Infotec's standard P5008 wall and P5047F drop leg steelwork bracket designs.
