The core of Infotec’s business is the design and manufacture of Light Emitting Diode (LED) display systems. LED technology has been in use for many years and is unbeatable in terms of legibility, reliability, cost of ownership and ease of maintenance.
The majority of applications use yellow LEDs against a black background. This provides excellent contrast and for this reason is recommended to assist legibility for the visually impaired. The use of 9 pixel high characters, which allow for text with true descenders, makes Infotec displays more compliant with the recommendations of the Disability Discrimination Act of 2004 than any other display technology.
Life expectancy for LED technology is in excess of 10 years and Infotec is so confident of this that it offers a conditional 5-year RTB warranty on all LED displays.
